The rules that govern your use of paymentgurus.com and the relationship between Payment Gurus and you. Written in plain English so you can actually read them.
Effective: January 1, 2026By using paymentgurus.com or any related service we provide, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
These terms apply to your use of our website and informational services. If you become an active merchant of Payment Gurus, the separate Merchant Processing Agreement signed during onboarding governs your processing services. Where these terms and that agreement conflict, the Merchant Processing Agreement controls for processing-related matters.
Payment Gurus is a registered Independent Sales Organization (ISO). We help businesses:
What we are not: We are not a bank. We are not a card network. We are not a licensed attorney, accountant, or financial advisor. Merchant accounts are issued by our sponsoring banks, not by us. Payment processing is handled by the processors connected to those banks. We help you choose, apply, and get serviced — but the underlying account is between you and the bank.
If you apply for a merchant account or submit information to us, you agree:
Submitting false information may result in account denial, account termination, or referral to law enforcement if fraudulent.
You agree not to:
Our website references and links to third-party services we use or partner with — banks, card networks, processors, terminal manufacturers, gateways, and others. Examples include Woodforest, Citizens, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex, Fiserv, CardConnect, Dejavoo, PAX, NMI, Authorize.Net, SwitchCommerce, ATM Transact, and NextATM.
We don't control these third parties. Their services have their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for their content, accuracy, or actions. When you sign up with one of them directly (e.g., logging into CardPointe), their terms govern that relationship.
Trademarks, logos, and product names of these third parties belong to their respective owners. We use them descriptively to identify the partners and equipment we work with.
The Payment Gurus name, logo, design elements, written content, and the overall organization of paymentgurus.com are owned by Payment Gurus LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content commercially without written permission.
That said, you can:
If you submit content to us (testimonials, photos, business information), you grant us a non-exclusive license to use it in connection with our services and marketing, unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
We provide our website and informational services "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties — express or implied — about:
Information on this site is for general informational purposes. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. Consult a qualified professional before making decisions based on what you read here.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Payment Gurus LLC, its owners, officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for:
If we are found liable to you for anything related to your use of the website, our total cumulative liability will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us directly in the past twelve months — whichever is greater. (For processing-related matters with active merchant accounts, the limitation in the Merchant Processing Agreement controls.)
You agree to defend and indemnify Payment Gurus from claims arising out of your use of the website, your violation of these terms, your submission of false or misleading information, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan, unless we mutually agree to another forum or to arbitration.
If you're a consumer subject to laws that require local jurisdiction, those laws may also apply.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. For material changes affecting active merchants, we'll provide more direct notice.
Questions about these terms:
Plain-English summary: Use our site honestly. Don't break it. Don't lie on applications. We help you get a merchant account but the bank approves it. Third-party products and services have their own terms. We're not liable for things outside our control. Disputes get resolved in Michigan courts. We can update these terms; we'll mark the date when we do.
